The full closure of the Main St. Bridge is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 13th, 2020 at 7:00 AM. The bridge will not reopen again until the project is complete. The Main St. Bridge and Route 202 reconstruction work is expected to be a two-year project.
A comprehensive sign package will be installed prior to the full bridge closure to help motorists navigate the bridge closure and access downtown Peterborough via alternate routes. In addition, GPS navigation/mapping services have been notified by the Town of Peterborough of the impending closure and are expected to be fully reflective of traffic pattern changes once the bridge is fully closed.
